Sen. Timothy M. Kaine of Virginia chosen as Hillary Clinton’s VP
A bad choice. He has the policies too close to hers, too friendly with big banking, too easily painted as compromised by the legal but morally questionable gifts he received in VA, he doesn’t bring a state she couldn’t already get and he’s shown no proclivity to be the type of attack dog that could actually help Clinton against the Trump ticket. It seems like a choice from a candidate who doesn’t understand what a campaign against the crazed GOP on display in the Republican National Convention is going to be like. What exactly does Kaine bring to a Clinton ticket?
In a year dominated by Donald Trump, her ticket prizes experience and traditional public service.
