This is a seriously fascinating obit. I didn’t realize that the guy who designed the Kikkoman tabletop soy sauce bottles also designed: a signature Yamaha motorcycle, the Tokyo/Japan bullet train, many logos.
Also: he used to be a monk and found ideas for many of his designs from post-atomic-bomb Hiroshima.
