Reports are coming out that CBS reporter Lara Logan was sexually assaulted in Cairo. The story receives some unfortunate categorizations on a few sites. Some commentators used it to speak about trends in Egypt and the world. The internet somehow still manages to be completely terrible about it. And of course there was at least one prominent journalist who managed to completely cross the line. But he lost his job, so there is that. Slate notes that this is a problem many female reporters face and one they fear to report.
