AOL has acquired the Huffington Post and put Arianna Huffington in charge of their content as editor in chief. This is a big deal, in more ways then one. The price of the Huffington Post was $315 million.

The web was wowed by (or at least really interested in) The Daily, News Corp’s (read: Rupert Murdoch) new iPad-only newspaper. The newsapp is free for two weeks and if you don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, here’s one place to find all The Daily buzz. Honestly, I would have done a round-up, but I just don’t care.

Android has made notable market progress in their latest reports. Google’s OS now claims the top spot in smartphone sales and went from less then 10% to 22% of the tablet market. With their the new Honeycomb due to come out soon, it’s no doubt that the iPad will soon be given a run for its money.

Imagine what will happen when Android finally turns over a tablet-ready OS? I’m betting that any iPad-specific publications, magazines, newspapers or other applications will either launch Android editions or be left behind.
