Sometimes my fellow humans baffle me.
Sometimes my fellow humans baffle me.
Sometimes my fellow humans baffle me.
Today marks the end of what was a month of non-stop traveling. I basically haven’t gone a whole week without traveling more than 200 miles since the middle of last month and, if you count the weekly train trips between VA and NYC, it has been basically four months since the last time I was really settled. As of this weekend I’m about 50% unpacked into a new apartment in Queens and next weekend will be the first time in a long time I won’t be driving, flying or train-riding somewhere quite a bit away.
It’s been fun, a trip to Europe, time-sharing between NYC and DC, but somewhat exhausting. It’ll be nice to settle in again. Pics of the new apartment coming as soon as it isn’t covered in boxes and half unpacked computer equipment.
Throwing out the old computer I used all through college and have been using as storage for spare parts for a few years now.
An elegant machine for a more civilized age.
Immediately before and immediately after vacations: the most stressful time of the year. Which is why I normally avoid them. Not packed. More work to be done. Oh, and I’m sure to get ‘randomly selected for an enhanced security check’ just like the last five times I’ve flown/crossed a national border when I’ve ‘randomly’ been selected.
19 hours to departure and still: report to complete, site to upload, packing, and studio to check (and possibly apply for). [Not in that order.]
Why haven’t we figured out transporters yet? Someone should get on that.
Ugh… and Newark = the worst.
This is why I prefer only to travel to places I can drive to.
