The New York Catholic Church Paid Lobbyists $2.1 Million to Block Child Sex-Abuse Law Reform
I’m not sure what the shittiest part of this is. The Catholic Church, just in-f*ckin-general; or that their defense of their attempts to disenfranchise sexual assault victims is that ‘if people sexually assaulted as children were allowed to pursue justice then they would bankrupt the Catholic Church.’ which just carries so many incredibly disturbing implications I can barely think about it.
