“Having women who are pretending to be “ghost scientists” may seem silly and even counterproductive to the fight for equality to some (although you can actually get a degree in this subject with a PhD in parapsychology). It is indicative of how sparse the representation of women in science is that we are grasping at a comedic representation of a debatably true scientific discipline. But to those of us who have wanted so desperately to see images of ourselves in the media we consume, it feels incredibly gratifying — as gratifying as it must have felt for those young men who fell in love with the original series. “
