First a Siri joke, now a 9/11 conspiracy? Facebook Trending is having a really bad week
This is shitty, but what’s really shitty is the hundreds of people who liked and shared the posts that drive these things to the top of the Trending page. The internet is people! (And people are the worst.)
It happened after Facebook fired journalists from the Trending team, leaving artificial intelligence to identify and deliver stories to the site’s users.
